Training Now Available for CompleteStreetsLOS Software
Dowling Associates is pleased to announce the availability of two training opportunities for new users of the CompleteStreetsLOS software with the AB 1358 Complete Streets Checklist. Training information is available in pdf format (3.9MB).
Introduction to Multimodal LOS and Complete Streets Concepts - June 30, 2010:
This three-hour workshop introduces professionals to the concepts of Complete Streets, California’s Complete Streets Act (AB 1358), and the application of Multimodal Level of Service analysis techniques to the analysis of Complete Street design and operation.
It is being offered on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California, as part of the Institute of Transportation Engineers Western District Annual Meeting. Please Note: Participants will also need to register for the ITE Western District Annual Meeting.
Practical Application of CompleteStreetsLOS - July 2, 2010:
This five-hour mixed classroom/field work course introduces professionals to the application of CompleteStreetsLOS to real world problems. This course provides data collection and coding tips, advice on coding special cases, and quality control techniques.
It is being offered on Friday, July 2, 2010, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Dowling Associates office in Oakland, California.
Travel Demand Modeling and/or Microsimulation
Dowling Associates provides travel demand modeling (Cube/Voyager/TP+/Viper, TransCAD and EMME2) and/or microsimulation training (VISSIM) for agency staff either as part of broader project services or as specific training on their model applications. For general training in these areas, we refer you to the appropriate software developer (Citilabs, Caliper, Inro, PTV America, etc.) for training opportunities.
Traffic Operations
Dowling Associates offers training on our TRAFFIX™ traffic impact analysis software on an as-requested basis either here in our Oakland office or on-site.
