A Letter to all our TRAFFIX™ Users
Subject: New Maintenance and Upgrade Policy for TRAFFIX

Dear TRAFFIX™ User:

TRAFFIX™ has reached the point where we can no longer ask our new customers to pay for the technical support of our existing user base (our established user base now exceeds one thousand users, and support for existing users is now a significant portion of our costs). We have consequently come to the conclusion that, like most established software packages (Emme/2, TransCAD, TP+, etc.), we must charge an annual fee for maintenance and support of TRAFFIX™ users. This annual maintenance and support fee will enable us to continue to give you the support you deserve and in addition will make it possible for us to add the new features that many of you have requested.

The annual maintenance and support fee will be invoiced for the period of July 1st to June 30th for each year following your upgrade to TRAFFIX™ 7.6 or higher. Additionally, we will begin each new annual maintenance period with a new TRAFFIX™ upgrade so that you will gain both a new upgrade and a year’s worth of support with your annual payment.

MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT POLICY FOR TRAFFIX™

Users with TRAFFIX™ 7.6 or higher will be invoiced annually a software maintenance and technical support fee of $600 (subject to change over time) per site license covering the period from July 1st to June 30th.

We will begin each new annual maintenance period by providing users with a new TRAFFIX™ upgrade so that they will gain both a new upgrade and a year’s worth of support with their annual payment.

Users not remaining current with annual maintenance and support fees will not be eligible for maintenance (new TRAFFIX™ patches and updates) or technical support until reinstating maintenance and support, at a cost equal to the accrued annual fee(s) since the time of their non-current status.

TRAFFIX™ technical support may be accessed by e-mail at traffix@dowlinginc.com or by phone at (510) 839-1742 and pressing “2” from the introduction greeting, for users with site licenses having up-to-date software maintenance and support fee payment.

Technical support will not be provided for previous versions of TRAFFIX™.
